Setting up motorised without south

Is it possible to set up a disecq motor wiithout having an unobstructed view of the closest satellite to my south position? In the place that i'm thinking of setting up the motor i only have a clear view from 7ºE to 45ºE or so.

Of course you can, i never align it to the most southern satellite.

I am a old school guy and we used the most western satellite to set south, eg Hispasat.
