Setting up my motor step by step

Sorry if i paste a few pictures on here in next few hours but ive decided to try and set up my motor again today and i thought if i post a few pictures on here as im setting up then someone would kindly tell me if something doesnt look right. Im hoping i can set this up this weekend after trying off and on for last 6 months. Thank you in advance for any help or advice.

Colin,

As you are at almost 4°W, I would make your due south satellite, Atlantic Bird3 at 5°W. This carries some strong French channels and would be an easy catch.

Try to move motor and dish together to roughly due south, scan and see if you get any results from that sat. If you do you can fine tune both elevation of the dish and the azimuth of motor/dish.

Thanks Pete i will try and scan 5W for some frequencies.
I still think this motor is faulty as i have trying to move it after installing everything and nothing happens unless its me

does the receiver have usals satellite dish positioning interface as from the receiver menu you posted up it just looks like it will only do diseqc 1.2

maybe thats why you think the motor is not working as you might have selected the wrong option ?

I think it has USALS looking at this menu here. Im not very good at this so everyone will have to bear with me im sorry

> Point your dish/motor roughly due South.
> Input your Longitude & Latitude details into the receiver.
> Send the dish to 5W by selection of the satellite and the dish will move to the calculated position.
> Align the dish & motor together around the pole and by dish El to get a lock on 5W.
> Check either ends of arc.

Must be something wrong with my motor as its not moving at all. Ive just told the motor to go to 5w but it has not moved, its still on 0 on the motor.
