Hello guys,

I hope my title is a bit explaining but I have small question.

I have a DM5620 and use sharing via the LAN (student house). Now I bought a new Dreambox 500, I flashed it with a new gemini firmware with bluepanel.

I would like to access the lan server but I can't find my password and username at my DM5620.

My question is how can I get the password out of my dm5620 and use it in my new 500+.

I can't get my password and username from my roommate because he went on holiday for 4 weeks.

Thank you for your feedback!!!

Unless the details have been reset by your room mate, the original username is "root" and the password "dreambox".

It's worth a try!

Further to my last message, which concerned the information to access the box via FTP or Telnet, if you want to access the user information for sharing, look at the file "passwd" which is in /var/etc.

You can access this, either using Total Commander from your PC or via Tuxcom, which you can download using the blue key.
