Hi there is obviously a greater risk of people having there sky 0963 cards cut off while sharing over the internet, so has anyone heard of anyone getting cut off by sharing the card internally with no access to the internet for the card?

If there are no packets travelling over the internet then how can they detect a home share setup?

That's the question are they getting to a point where they detect its not in the box whether over the internet or not? just wondered if anyone has been cut with just lan use?

hello,
i would say that cutting off your card that you share in your home is almost impossible.
even those that share with others are hard for them to find as well.
they shut down a large operation in cypress just recently.
they had thousands on card sharing, had some big servers to provide the card packets and they where watched for several years.
they where shut down a few weeks ago.
someone complained about paying and when you shut down the server the whole system went down for thousands on the sharing network.
only way they will cut you off is if you dont pay them and they shut down the card

I wouldn't be worried about getting turned off for internal sharing. I would be more worried about the how Sky Italia do with their new NDS4 rollout. They have managed to kill all shares (internal and external) and if it stays that way Sky UK will no doubt be rolling out the same technology.

If your talking about the 09cd card, i'm afraid that your wrong there my friend. It can't be shared with CCCam but it can with OSCam. The older 093b cards are being switched off due to apparent moscing of the cards.

To be honest even if they do anything its more than likely that it will be only a matter of time before the cards are possible to CS with as Sky is probably one of the most sort after packages.
