China is to launch Shenzhou-9 at 1137 BST. Coverage is currently on CCTV-4 on 9E

It will be carrying 3 astronauts, including Liu Yang the first Chinese female astronaut.

The Chinese launch gantry really is a fantastic bit of engineering. The rocket its totally enclosed by the blue tower until 45 minutes from launch, then the lower, middle then finally the top sections are retracted which looks like giant clamshells opening up. This pic shows the top section still hiding the crew module whilst the middle section is retracting.

Yeah all the extra views were a real bonus. Shame they dont have them as standard on the comms sat launches.
 
Now successfully docked with the space station Tiangong 1.
