Any of you guys compared the quality between the 2 of them, to my eyes the Sky italia offering seems to have a sharper picture than the BskyB offering what i have seen of it anyway.

Sky Italia does appear to be sharper than Sky UK. Not surprising to be honest, the channels have always been a bit duller compared with most other major broadcasters across europe.

Thanks nano,

Confirmed what i was actually viewing then, I suppose it does not help with the amount of TP space for HD channels we have on 28.2 as the more they cram in the worse it gets, Logical really the first thing to suffer is bitrate at the expense to please the millions of subscribers who cant get enough.

Does anyone know how long these channels will remain active for? I've run out of space to record all the films.

Channels across Europe, I have noticed always have better picture quality than here.

If you want these films at the best quality get the bluray boxset.

Too right wod. Funnily enough did a bitrate check a couple of weeks ago on the British version. I think it was around 8-9 meg.
You can't beat the blurays, as long as they're the original full length master copys :)

Edit:

That made me howl nano :D
