It seems unlikely as the 3d image is produced in conjunction with the nvidia card and shutter glasses. Doubt the sky box will drive the glasses.

Details are scarce at the moment still, although LG did announce a 3D projector with passive glasses (ie cinema, pub style) Price confirmations are still up in the air along with the release date, although initial pricing put it at ~10K.

Unless you already have the projector, I wouldn't buy one now if 3D is a must have feature with Sky, Virgin and BD 3D compatability is more certain. Personally I wouldn't bother waiting and just buy a projector and enjoy now. If 3D actually takes off, then upgrade later. Remember there will be alot of pretty pee'd off people who've just shelled out on new TVs as part of the digital switch over, only to find they won't work with Freeview HD and now they're being told they won't work with 3D either and they need a new TV.

It's a solution without a market at the moment and and along way from being an economic climate to take risks and launch it into imho.

I was thinking of buying this projector as i need a new one anyway is there anymore info out about sky 3d with vidalia or not.
I have read that if you buy a new projector or tv you can ring sky with the model and purchase invoice for them to activate the 3d channel free of charge as long as you have the full hd package?.
Is this right will it also work on c/s to my spiderbox hd?
Thanks in advance.

Various folks have been reporting in the last couple of days that they can see the channel anyway without ringing.

However apparently domestic subscriptions will have the football games blanked out until next year sometime - they just get the previews and stuff.

Thanks analoguesat,
Will this mean though if i buy this projector i will get 3d from sky say for the world cup or next epl season or maybe from another foreign sub 3d .I wanted to use this through hd box c/s from my house to my other house will this work?
I am not sure as what box i need other than sky hd it will work on, as in dm hd or others or are they all compatible if they receive hd.
Many thanks.

Havent got the faintest idea if the 3d channel will work with a c/s T-I. Its a case of "suck it and see".

There is a free 3D test channel on 9E 11747H if you want to check your equipment.

If you ask me 3D TV is badly overrated anyway - its just a big con to get folks to buy new av equipment again.

Thanks mate for the replies,
What i am thinking of is i need a projector anyway and it is for a bar so having hd is good but if the 3d works its obviously great as an extra gimmick for customers. Basically if 3d works would it work with this projector as i assume its through normal hd boxes the new 3d is that right or is more complicated kit needed.
I dont know much about setups so sorry if it seems a silly question but if you or anyone could explain more how it works or what you need greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
