It seems unlikely as the 3d image is produced in conjunction with the nvidia card and shutter glasses. Doubt the sky box will drive the glasses.
Details are scarce at the moment still, although LG did announce a 3D projector with passive glasses (ie cinema, pub style) Price confirmations are still up in the air along with the release date, although initial pricing put it at ~10K.
Unless you already have the projector, I wouldn't buy one now if 3D is a must have feature with Sky, Virgin and BD 3D compatability is more certain. Personally I wouldn't bother waiting and just buy a projector and enjoy now. If 3D actually takes off, then upgrade later. Remember there will be alot of pretty pee'd off people who've just shelled out on new TVs as part of the digital switch over, only to find they won't work with Freeview HD and now they're being told they won't work with 3D either and they need a new TV.
It's a solution without a market at the moment and and along way from being an economic climate to take risks and launch it into imho.
