sky+ hd cannot record

Well from what has been described could be a number of problems.
First is that the stb has been previously set for single input operation in the menu. or perhaps the 2nd tuner is failed does the seller indicate that both were working correctly? check the wording of the sales description.
Lastly have you paired your card with the stb, see this thread?
