Sky+HD (DRX890C with 2TB Drive) connected to a boring basic sky dish

Has anyone else noticed the new darker blue EPG is very slow to respond.

I have the DRX890C which was one of the fastest boxs, now its so sluggish. I really feel for those getting the new software on one of the older boxs
 
When I first received the update on the 890C, I did think it was slower (possible following the horrible experience of getting the new style EPG on an older box 2 years ago) but after using it for a few days, it's not very noticeably slower and is more or less the same.
 
Do we know what HD receivers are or have been updated?
 
I'm still to receive it on my older 780 model.

Thinking of ditching it and using a vu+ instead.

Just the newer 890 and 895 boxes at the minute, I've read has got the new tv menu.
 
Yes its the new TV menus. Also immediat access to online content right from the planner, instead of clicking anytime, or Personal Planner, its all under TV Guide.


Also a nice shaded dark blue. Apart from the look, and seems slow, it is the same
 
I think they must have made some changes to the networking in the box. Until the update my DRX890 frequently got the "Sky Anytime+ is not available" (DrayTek router over UK VPN) message, however now it seems rock solid (touch wood).
 
My 890 got updated last week or so, and it is not slower (nor faster) than the previous EPG. It is much clearer, though, and much more pleasant to read. Banners are now see-through, so they are a bit less obtrusive when you're watching something. If you find your EPG to be slower than before, perhaps you should try to reset your box? Probably won't do much, but it doesn't cost anything to try... It did solve my problems a few months ago when my EPG was getting unresponsive and was freezing a lot.
