Do you need a new "special" LNB to pick up HD chans? I am thinking of getting a thomson HD box but am worried that it wont work with my 95cm motorised dish and Best 0.1 LNB.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

No special LNB required, a universal LNB is fine, apart from you will need two feeds, so it will have to be a quad. :)

The Sky HD box will of course not move the motor, you would probably be better putting up minidish for Sky.

yeah i'd advise using a separate mini dish for sky, as it saves a lot of hassle as sky boxes tend to throw a wobbler if they aren't on astra 2, 28east

right thanks very for the advice. Would it be able to record etc? i dont have a land line in my house and sky told me that it wouldnt work. The quad thing you speak of, is that a LNB or is it a box? could someone post a link to go good one so i can price them up.

Thanks as always

To get the card active for HD you need to do a call back

You can buy a mini dish and quad off ebay for a few quid and it needs to be on 28.2e to record and for sky anytime and firware updates and epg info otherwise you might **** you HD box up.
