It will depend on the quality of the cable.

Give us an idea of how long a cable you need.

Should be able to get 20Mts without too many problems, subject to a decent HDMi cable. You can get cables with an inline equalizer for long runs. Very long... and you can use cat5e HDMi converters.

5m is no problem. I bought a 5m mini HDMI to HDMI cable off Fleabay for about a fiver from memory.

Just looked it up and it was £5.75. That was for a v1.3 cable.

If you're into 3D TV then v1.4 is about twice the price and I wouldn't have any idea on viable lengths for that.
