No I dont have an AT reader and Im certainly not taking my new toy apart!



Ive only just got it set up for the first time with a lashup dish and am having fun seeing whats available on the Italian epg - pics to follow...

Having found the language selection Ive now got some of the news channels in English

BBC World, Russia Today, Euronews & Al Jazeera noted so far

I found the multisat connection option after a bit of delving deep into the menus

The list is years out of date though! Eutel 2F1 (pictured on the config screen) went to junk orbit years ago!

(Also listed but long gone are Hispasat 1A, 1B, Astra 1A, 1B, Eutel 2F3, & Anatolia 1!)

I would guess that the list would update after a period of connection, or perhaps a forced update.

I already forced an update onto it before Analoguesat had it off me. Thats about as upto date as it gets !

Ive finally got the cable in place to connect it up permanently. Now I need a dry weekend to swap lnb's around so I can get a dual output on the 13E dish and I'll see if it updates itself further - and if I can get multi sat working on it

Im NOT going to stick it on 28E and try a forced update though - I want it as a fta Sky Italia box!

how,is the sensitivy of the tuner,same,then on uk boxes?
can you open it,to look,is the same hardware inside?
also posible,to access the secret menü,to making manual search,if so,maybe you can i search on 28,5 e,and using your sky card,in italian box,but i dont think,that it works!

Services 401 works - thats already noted on one of the early posts in the thread.

Using a uk card in it whildst on 28E wont do anything as they use different "flavours" of NDS.

No idea about the sensitivity - the signals here from 13E & 28E are so strong that even with my smallest dishes I get almost maximum signal strengths

So what FTA channels do you get with no card in the receiver, Also do you have a sky IT card at all, Do sky italia have FTV cards like we have that give access to five and ch4 and five us & life or no?????

How about some screen shots of the fta channels with the info bar on and does thereceiver have a signal meter also does it have hidden installers menus?????

No I dont have a card of any sort, but there must be some sort of ftv card as some of the channels on that wiki page are listed as ftv.

Theres one pic of Rai Uno with the info bar up on it on the first page of the thread but I'll happily post some of the others up at some point once I get the lnb's swapped around.

Cant remember if theres a signal meter at the moment & services 401 select works just fine to take you into an installers menu as already noted

After a couple of hours pottering in the sun this morning Ive finally got everything wired up correctly and a quad lnb on the 13E dish so if anyone want to know anything specific or particular screenshots ask away

I've got a Pace DS230NS on the way from a friend, im pretty sure its a Sky Italia box from google. So hopefully will be fine when its set up, i also think it has ex sub card in it so maybe able to get the FTV channels.

There arent many ftv channels on Sky Italia.... In fact according to that wiki article in the post higher up the thread there are currently two.

I've just looked through the wiki page and yes its two , and the MTV one is on analogue which i use along side digital(or will do when its set up)
The box came, very small compaired to the uk boxes i have seen.

I had a quick turn on and flick through the menu's but turned it off as my setup is not currently working at the moment. So i have no idea if the card works for the FTV channels or may work after a couple of days for the keep alive signal (if they even have it over there, i'm sure they will?)

I will post back when i have my setup fully working.
