Sky Italia box

For the first time in ages Ive had time to have a play with my Sky Italia box, and Ive found an interesting feature hidden deep in the menus. You can add channels and access them direct through the epg in the 96xx range!

Here you can see Ive added Caspionet first and its on 9600

Rather more flexible than the horrible "Other Channels" on a sky uk box isnt it?

That's a good idea, perhaps BSkyB will follow suit eventually, although there is not quite the same need for it on Astra 28.2, as there are a relatively small amount of channels not on the Sky EPG.

Where abouts in the menus can this be found :D
 
Services, 7, 3, SELECT to load the other channels - it loads them all in alphabetical order which you can then find in Services 7, 2.

Beware - Each time you run the Services, 7, 3 it appears to delete your existing 96xx channels!

hello lads my local has sky italia for the football how do i access the english audio if its available what buttons do i need to press on the remote? any help appreciated thanks.
 
If its a Sky Italia box you want

Services, 4, 3

Set the top option to Inglese.
 
my sky italia has arrived and fitted only problem i have is can only get it on one tv i want it to go to three other s theres only two scart wondered how it can be done i run sky and tecnomate through a amp but as sky italia only has scart sockets don t no how to do this one thanks
 
Connect the scart to an old video player and output the rf from the video to your distribution amp.

Or buy an rf modulator from somewhere like Maplins.

ihavejust bought a sky italia package from a company in london.i also have a motorised disk on a fortec stat tuner . can anyone help .can i set or how do i set it to english on the sub channel i have a very good picture as all i done was was set the motorised disk to hotbird unpluged it and pluged in the sky italia box
 
You havent read through the thread have you?? That has already been asked & the info is given in posts 46 & 47.

Doesn't work when you try and force an Italia update on a UK box unfortunately :(
 
Ive finally got around to changing the wiring in the living room so I can have my Sky Italia box wired up more regularly. Ive updated the software on the box and all the second satellite option in the in the 2 lnb via disecq setting has changed - it was just "hardwired" for Astra 1 before, but now its a choice between Astra 1 & Eurobird 9
