Sky Minidish, Two LNBs

I've done a bit of reading, and at the minute I've got my DM800 setup to my Sky Minidish, and I get all of the channels on Astra 28.2 perfectly. I don't really want to move the dish, as it's set fine, but I do want to add another LNB if possible. I'm wanting to get channels from Hotbird 13.0, would it be possible to add another LNB to recieve channels from both satellites at the same time?

Possible, but a very long way from optimal, try it and see.
 
I see you're in Newcastle (Upon Tyne ??) - which means you probably have a Zone 2 Dish: That might be big enough, but I doubt if a Zone 1 would be.
 
Well, I've got a spare LNB, I'll have a mess around when it's nicer weather, hopefully I'll get something. Just need to work out where to point it in relation to the one pointing at 28.2

Had them both working on a zone 1, Gordon, with Hotbird on the focus, but as it was just a bit of fun, didn't investigate too much how well (badly) exactly it performed. Also had 19E and 13E as well, but the LNBs overlapped.;)

Just remember the angle of incidence = the angle of reflection and the 2nd lnb will have to be on the east side of the existing lnb in order to pick up signals further West

thats a large reach on a small dish.
usually they set up 13 and 19 degrees that is 6 degrees apart.
for the price of a 60 cm dish and lnb about 25 euro or less you can set up another dish and use a disec switch and have no problems as long as your box will generate a disec signal to switch back and forth.
you are 15 degrees apart. a bigger dish may be needed.

It turns out we have a spare dish aswell, so I could mess around with it, and see what I get. I'll give it a go today.
 
What size is the spare Dish?

Even Zone 1 Sky Dishes have been known to give good results on quite a few Satellites when used for one at a time.

Even in Newcastle (Upon Tyne ??), you should easily get Hotbird, Astra 1, Atlantic Bird 3, maybe Hispasat, plus certain beams of several others.

Yeah, I'm in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and the dish is just a Sky minidish, same as what I currently use.
