SKY 'Other Channels' help needed.

Channel Master 1.8m with CM Feedhorn AZ/EL Mount. MTI AP82-TW 0.6dB LNB. Thomson Sky HD Decoder
System2..
Internet TV... Sweden's Telia Broadband service.
My Location
Hässleholm,South Sweden
Due to ITV London dissappearing off the screen recently, I have 'added other channels' and taken in some other ITV channels.
Does anyone know how to add these 'other channels' into my favourites?

Don't think this is possible. Hope someone proves me wrong! Otherwise you'll just have to keep dipping into the menu system (flippin' nuisance).

There seems to be a lot going on on the ITV transponders at the moment. Anybody noticed the test picture on 10832H? (labelled 1002 something or other)

You cant add Other Channels into your favourirtes.

The test channels are for new ITV sub regions launching in the next couple of weeks, and for others moving frequency.

I did actually...Seems like a lot of changing round.
And going into the menu system is a damn nuisance...its driving me mad already! Hope there is a solution somehow.

Thats that then! Bloody nightmare. Her indoors will not be happy... "How do you get ITV again luv???" :-DOH!
 
I don't understand why they are changing the frequencies for the existing ITV1's anyway. Why don't they just put the new regional variations in the already spare slots on the new transponder.

By the way - Does anyone (maybe someone on the "inside") know when the re-jig will be over ?

From comments on DS, the new sub regions are being "grouped together". Quite what that means in practise is anyones guess. The first round of rejigs should be complete in the next 2 weeks, once Central East & South, Anglia East & Scottish East are sorted. Please note I am not on the "inside" This info is just what Ive gathered off various forums.

re: the not being able to add "other channels" to "favourites".. it's worse than that..

IF you have a SKY plus box, these changes mean that expats losing ITV regions cannot record as 103 / 963 are now USELESS. The "other channels" stored do NOT appear in the EPG, so recording cannot be scheduled.


When these transponders changes pan out there will be a HUGE market for SKY cards registered to the addresses in regions that aren't on the "north beam"...

PS WHY are all the good channels going to the north beam anyway?....

E4, ITV2/3, ITV London, etc. Is it a deliberate policy.. ?
