Apologies if this is in the wrong forum - hey I'm new !

My Grundig SKY Digital box (GDS 300?) is starting to suffer from severe picture breakup, freezing, loss of sound etc but only on certain channels (Channel 4 for one). Its about 7 years old and, looking a posts on similar forums, I guess its probably on the way out. I don't subscribe to SKY anymore since January, I just use it as a 'Freeview' box. I have two questions :

1) Should I buy another Grundig box or are there better ones to get ? - I run an aerial cable to my portable TV in the conservatory out of the box's auxillary port, other than that its just the basic SCART connection to my TV I need.

2) If I buy the above second-hand box do I just insert my Sky Viewing Card and go ?

Many thanks in advance ....:D

I don't think Grundig produces digiboxes for sky any more. I guess anything out there today will beat your old Grundig box. I use a PACE DN430 and it's great. A very fast receiver and quite good in fringe areas.

To your second question, yes you can just move your Freesat card into your new receiver.

Hope this helps...

Cheers

Grundig don't produce anything anymore, their assets and plant was taken over by Thomson, who incidently make a nice Sky digibox. :)
