Hello Folks
i am new to this site and new in the UK. i installed Sky system myself and its working perfect. the Remote control Volume key is not working so i got another remote and still the same problem. i checked both the remotes on another digibox but the same problem. the infrared light on the remote blinks when i press the volume key or the MUTE key but nothing happens to any of the digobox. please help me as its making me frustrated controlling the volume from the TV.

The Digibox remote will only control a Sony TV straight out of the box as this is the default setting.

If yours is a very modern TV then it's possible that there isn't a code to suit and you willhave to make do with a "nearly" code from another model in the range.
 
Thank you for the reply but i couldnt find my TV model there.
i am using quiet an old model TV MATSUI TVR190 and there is nothing listed
please help me with all this as i am using it in my bedroom

If you go into the Interactive section of the digibox and go to Sky Customer service, Technical help, then Remote control, there are further lists of codes for the Matsui, write them down and try them all, I'm sure tha one will work. I have found that the Philips codes work on a lot of the own brand TVs like the Matsui.
 
Thanks i will check all of them but anybody can tell me what is the correct procedure to input a code please?

I checked all the codes which is provided by SKY interactive and also from the website from the link but no key is working. dont know why??
 
As they say on the site that I put the link to, not every TV made has the codes in the Digbox remote. I'm surprised that none of the Matsui codes gave you even a switch on/off result at the very least though.

All you can do is complain to $ly and hope that they include the code in the next release of remote controls. I wouldn't hold my breath though.
 
If you are using the following procedure:

TV
Red+select (LED flashes twice)
3 digit code
LED flashes three times

and you don't get the three flashes from the LED then try entering the code as a 4 digit code by prefixing with a zero.

i.e.
263, 205, 037 would be 0263, 0205, 0037 etc.

You'll still have to work your way through the list I'm afraid.

I found this out this week when I was trying to control a Samsung TV. None of the codes were giving the 3 flashes so I tried a bit of playing around. The digibox code now controls the Samsung TV. ;)

thanks for the message back. i was disappointed and had given up on the remote control and was using separate remote for the tv but now i will try this method. but the website is asking for 2 flashes after entering the code and you are talking bout 3 flashes, it seems a bit confusing to me now.

Slip of the fingers. I did indeed mean two flashes after entering the code. Mind must have been elsewhere at the time. Sorry.
 
have you tried the codes for a saisho tv ? i have an old ish matsui portable with a tv link in second bedroom, which works with the saisho code
 
press TV
press Red+select together
LED should flashes twice
press your 3 digit code
press select
LED should flashes two times
press sky
press tv and your romote should control you tv to now
well it work for me
