I post every few months on this subject, I am in southern Spain and we were supposed to lose our TV reception ages ago so what's happening ? Rumors and newspaper articles abound as in "we will definitely lose it on the sixteenth" but the sixteenth always comes and goes with no difference. I have long had the suspicion that it will never happen because SKY would lose too much revenue.

The launch of the Astra 2E Satellite was delayed and the knock-on effect is that Testing was only recently completed. It' unlikely it'll be fully Operational until January now.

Nobody knows the exact effects upon Fringe reception, but the Footprint looks very similar to Astra 2F.

There are several Topics in this section already with more detail (Far more!).

Do you get the new Astra 2F European beam channels ok? If so you will almost certainly be ok with the pay channels when 1N or 2A is switched off.

All bets are off as far as the PSB channels are concerned. If you get C5 the standard def family of channels you may be ok.
