Not quite true m8, 11778 is the EPG backround music and it can be got out here. Just try it by typing that number in the add channels menu and see what comes up. The reason that most people advise setting 12.207 as the default transponder is that it is one of the strongest in cyprus. 11778 is not always strong depending on the time of the day and smaller dishes, say below 2.5m definately has issues with grabbing onto it. fmac. It is possible to permenantly change the default transponder but I'm damned if I remember how. The reason that many digiboxes revert back to 11778 is that if it can see 11778 with out problem then it will reset back to it automatically. I know that the bars on the Signal strength may show higher but it makes not one jot of difference!! It is the picture on the screen that proves the signal strength. In any case that will only show the signal strength for the default transponder that you have chosen. Try going into the installer menu, - sevices 4 0 1 select - and select manual tuning. Type in 12207 (all other settings default) and find channels. The next screen will display the signal strength for that transponder. Now go back and try with others such as 11778, 10714 (ITV)& 10773(BBC) and you will see what I mean. Hope that clears things up Cheers Nick
