Is it possible to get all (or most at least) channels from Thor (1W, Telenor) and Sirius (5E, Viasat) with a SkyStar 2 rev. 2.6C?

I think perhaps Telenor (Canal+ etc.) runs Conax on most channels on Thor, I have no idea what Viasat/Sirius goes with, but I hope someone here knows? Is it possible to show these with a SkyStar 2 + software and if so, how ? .. :confused

(I did read the Idiots guide to installing progdvb, but does this apply to these satellites as well... ?)

You can still get the channels which transmit with Viaccess, but not the others.

I assume you mean that Viasat uses Viaccess and that I can get them (or ..??) ..but are you saying that Thor is hopeless to decode? What hardware is needed with the SS2 to make this work then? ...

I'm sorry, I'm a total noob when it comes to sat - I just really want Thor/Sirius to work, but I don't have a clue to which decoding SS2 supports (with available soft) and what kind of coding Thor/Sirius has. ...can you be more specific please?

Check out www.lyngsat.com for which channels are encoded in which system.

The SS2 will do virtually everything that can be done with the exception of one or two commercial releases on smart-cards.

You won't get very much at all of either bird ATM without a valid sub.
