The initial change rolled out in Italy did/does not use all the encryption features of the algorithms; it seems like it was an interim change. From the OSCAM forum they will do a further 2 post processes (which they don't know what they are yet). I also think that Sly is contractually bound to replace all cards every so often. I am surprised at how long the blue card lasted, so maybe a new card is not needed, just a new image for the Sly STB. I think they might suffer more because of old digiboxes that are still in use that lack memory/processor to handle the new encryption. It will be interesting to know if anybody is still using one of the old single tuner digiboxes and whether it still works in both Italy and UK. I suspect they will have to change the digiboxes for later versions (e.g. that might explain the hard push for HD where they were giving the HD boxes away).
