Hi

I bought a smargo and followed the guide and it doesn't detect the card when i check, do i need different settings for Dream Elite Black Hole because the guide was for Gemini and Nabilo images. I did go into kernel manager a select yes for all of them. I set the clock frequency to 6.8 since I'm using my sly sub card. Also can i use 2 different cards at the same time one in the internel reader and one in the smargo, same provider though.

Thanks

I haven't tried this myself but I've heard a little piece of information stating that , in Dream Elite image the usb/serial card reader is addressed differently. Try the code below, notice the difference in the path to the reader !

SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY : /dev/ttyUSB0 3580000
BOXKEY : /dev/ttyUSB0 xx xx xx xx

Don't run an NDS3 card so quickly, there is no gain to be had, run it at 3.58mhz as shown in the code above.
Yes, you can run 2 cards , one in the smargo and one in the internal.

Thanks B16MCC. Was only running it at 6.8 since i read it in a post but i'll try that later on.

Thanks

Tried the new line in .cfg and doesn't work shows no card or unknown card inserted.

did try the card in internal reader and is working fine, its just not detecting in smargo even my other card that works fine in internal too

Have you activated the Smargo usb setting in kernel modules manager ?

Blue button x2

Yupp i turned it on when i tried it and wasn't working

ok take a step back. Logon to the box via telnet. Type dmesg and see if it lists a usbtoserial device.
