I am busy with idea to smoke some meat & fish. So, decided to make smoke generator. It is not an invention, as there are lots and lots similar equipment in the internet.
Took 114mm pipe, did some cutting and welding, but still long time to go till I really smoke some food.
Now I faced an issue how to make legs for the smoker, I need to lift it up some 20-25cm. Some ideas are very welcome.

When it's up and running can I suggest smoking some garlic bulbs. They are fabulous when smoked with all the fire taken away. You can eat the cloves like cashew nuts!

I would smoke fish and meat separately.

Added 3 legs to the smoker. They will be height-adjustable. Looks.... little bit futuristic  is not it? Basically it is more or less ready for tests, just need to wait till aquarium air-compressor arrives from PRC.

Have made legs for the "rocket launcher" and also prepared some wooden-ships for trials.

Have finished this project. Generator actually generates as it should do. IMG_20170713_112803 (Large).webp

Well, the generator worked for almost 6 hours without adding more wood-chips. What I will do next is connect the generator to the grill I made some time ago. So, perhaps soon I will have my own smoked meat and vegetables (incl. garlic) ready.

I've salted some meat couple of days ago and whole day today (about 11 hours) smoked it. Garlic is still not eatable as nothing changed to it. I think, Paul, you have meant hot-smoking. But I did cold-smoking. Meat is fine.... eatable  Smoke generator worked fine, but, I think I need another air-pump, which has little bit more L/min.

Some time ago I received new air-pump from China. It was not the cheapest one, but at least it makes enough air to able my smoke-generator work properly. Some 4-5 days ago I bought couple of chunks of pork, boiled it for ~1 hour and marinated afterwards. Today I put it in the grill along with couple of other pieces of lard I found in the fridge. Will smoke all the meat couple of hours tonight and will restart the process sometime tomorrow.

Hello Rimant. A good machine made from a gas cylinder. Here for more of your photos. Smokehouse with a barbecue you have. And under the shish kebabs I look at you there is no slot.? Spring will come and I'll make myself a brazier. There are 2 large gas cylinders. Only I will do three in one. Cook, fry, smoke ... I'll take as a basis 3 videos from the Internet. One guy makes a shish kebab even with an electric drive. Well done.

Hi @Borisov54 , welcome to the Forum! Nice to see you here.
The grill..... actually there are special holes in the cylinder, so, it is possible to make шашлык IMG_20160708_193008 (Large).webpIMG_20170514_212917-EFFECTS (Large).webpIMG_20170514_214821 (Large).webp
I am looking forward to see mega-grill made out of 3 cylinders.

It's good when it's warm. Soak up fish, fry shish kebab on the grill and with beer and vodka you can. Ovedenie, very tasty.
