Having given up many times in the past getting anything in C band around 50East ..
And having tried all for a few hours with the C1PLL on Carl ..
I went back to Christina ..
Currently pointed almost directly at the troublesome tree ..which has shed about 80% of it's leaves ..
I locked a data transponder at a very low 1db -ish
A first for me at this location ...whatever it is ...?
Looking at 49E Yamal possibly ...but can't confirm it as it aint listed at 49E (flysat)
So before I create this location on the vbox I need to know where I am ..
3982 L(H) SR 5000
Can someone with a clear view help me out ?

(PES packets contain private data ...2 of them)

If it is pointing at 39.5E ..then I'm a long way off target ...
I didn't even know there _was_ an active C band bird at this location ?

Paksat 1R @ 38E is the only C-band broadcast sat around 38/39E

Exactly ...which is why this makes little sense to me...
so ...still needing a check on this one.

Maybe we'll have to wait for Feedsat on this one!
It could also be Yahsat-1A at 52.5° E, or NSS-5 (inclined) at 50.5° E.

So looks like my search for Yamal continues...
At least I got to put 57E Back in the Vbox again.....
Cheers Feedsat
