Just picking up on a comment made in my previous thread"In any case you can forget Nagra 3Conax MPEG-4VideoguardViaccess 2.5Viaccess 2.6Irdeto 2They are all secure AFAIK"If as my recent experiences with my Diablo cam are bearing out then the above comment is possibly true. Since my success with keys I acquired over a month ago I have again recently tried numerous key downloads and cannot get hardly any channels to clear on hotbird or astra 2 even though the current channel keys edit shows a key code present. So is the Diablo cam becoming obsolete. Sure the company manufacturing the cam and all that have a vested interest are not going to say so and the websites hosting the key downloads are getting hits on their sites by the thousands wheather the keys work or not are not going to stop. Therfore what is the case. I personaly cannot complain as in the last two years I have had the cam I have had a lot of fun and some reasonable successes and have been delighted in getting something for free, well not free as the cam and programmer cost over £100. However I could not for the moment reccomend a freind buy a Diablo cam as I could not say that he would have much success. I am sure there will come a new device on the market like the q box or something but what of the cam are we now wasting our time trying new key downloads. I am unsure as every now and then you do get keys that work but they seem to be getting fewer and fewer.So what future does Diablo have.It will be interesting to read anyones comments and their experiences
 
The Underworld read me files tell you what is open, and available, when using the cam.
Also key sites aren't of much use, with new cams, and cards, as the keys are securely held in the files themselves, because they are not made public.
At the moment the Diablo Cam opens some good packages, including Canal Digital 1W, DigitAlb 16E, and Digi TV 1W, I'm curious as to what else you expect to open?
Providers are not going to just sit back and let us view forever, of course they will upgrade their encryption, and exchange viewing cards, otherwise no one would bother subscribing and they would all go out of business.
The satellite game is a hobby and any packages we get to view a bonus, but we all know they wont stay open forever and it pays to be flexible, the more satellites you can receive the more options you have.

MickhaYes I do realise that it is a game of cat and mouse and I do read the read me files which as you say state what is open but my own experience is that all that is listed only perhaps 10% actualy clear unless it is my inexperience that is the fault. I just load the keys or upgrade to the latest stealth or underworld package and see what I get. I don't set out to try and get specific channels/packages as you say its purely experimental. However as the channels you find you can clear diminish you begin to wonder if it is worth bothering anymore. In the beginning it was amazing to find the amount of channels that would clear but now it is getting to the point that I question wheather the cam is worth the time and effort and the whole point of the forum is to see if others experience the same so that readers of the forum can guage what is the best cam or reciever to use for the purpose of. Yes I am fishing for guidence from more experienced users and to find a good source for keys and dup files to upgrade as I am hopefull that other users are having more success than me so a point in the right direction is good. My comag reciever has always worked well with the cam when I have found a good set of keys and the channels that do clear do so within seconds so the cam is brilliant when it does work. I use laurels for stealth and underworld downloads and dvb for keys but does anyone know of any other good sites to try. For now I will persevere with diablo but I am looking for an alternative.

As you say the channel providers will not sit back or they will go out of business and neither will the cam manufacturers sit back or they will go out of business.
A game of cat and mouse and keeping up with the latest technology.
So there will be something new I am sure like lauro says perhaps 2.4.

Dear friends, I loaded the uderworld 1,57 and I didn´t get the HD1 and HD3 on 7º E so I dont know what is necessary to insert into the cam, more than program it and load the bin file kyes, I see the diablo EMU file into the pakage, but I dont know if it´s to insert into the cam, and if is... where we program it? witch folder? I loaded the cam, and did whait a long time, but no HD1 and HD3, is the caid 0624 or 0622 on 7ºE? :confused:
great for some answer about it?

Hallo mateus,

It is only for diablo 2.3 or 2.2 upgraded to 2.3 (not for 2.2) and you need a HD receiver. What do you have?
 
It has been posted that some Humax HD receivers are having problems but reverting back to the 1.01 software worked for one owner.
 
Hi Lauro2008 thankyou for a repay, well I have a diablo ligth 2.3 it seems to be okay, but it is not, and a reciever is a blady Humax 2000HDCI with a soft 1.00.11, just loaded to see the nordic HD channels, because with a ...16 they didn´t open, well I have a euro 80 card, but is question of changing a cam every times I want see the euro 80tv and if it works why not try? but not with 0624 and not with 0622 caids... dificoult to understand !!! anny secreds around? !!! well in this lovely forum I could already had a help to see the itv hd when it broadkast, and a way to open nordic hds with a 11 soft (we alwayais loock for a least soft, but sommetimes the older are better!) and now this one with a euro 80tv have to back again for a older soft? oh :-Nooo
