hi,
i am new to all this but to cut a long story short, i bought a konig reciever connected to dish got a few satellite etc astra 2d n 1 etc n euro bird. n i found (like most ppl) the channels are scrambled, i read alot of posts on this forum etc about cards/cams but i dont have a card slot but i do av a rs 232 port at the back of the reciever, so iv orderd a rs232 to usb for my laptop can ne1 help or recommend soft ware?
i no u cant unscramble astra 2d (sky)channels.
any help would be great

First of all please type in proper English not txt gibberish. Many of our members are older and cant understand txt. If you cant be understood, you wont get the benefit of all our experts knowledge.

Theres no way to unscramble the Sky UK transmissions.

There are a couple of packages open at the moment - the main one is DigiTV on 1W, although thats going secure in the next few weeks.
 
ok im very sorry no problem,

i have read that you cant unscramble astra 2d but do you have any help and recomendations on how and what to use to unscramble eurobird and astra 1 (software etc)

Theres currently NOTHING open on Astra 1 19E or Astra 2 / Eurobird 1 28E.

Its a very poor time for free tv at the moment - you missed the best time about 18 months ago, when there was loads open.
 
ok thanks anyway ill keep my eye open and maybe try my dish on hotbird see what i get there.

Not a lot on 13E either...... :-rofl2

Your best bet is 1W (for a few weeks until the encryption changes)
