I have an old annalogue dish/LNB tuned to receive the German Channels.

As a general question. Why do horizontal speckles appear on red areas and other intense colours of viewed picture only? I think it may happen when it is raining!

Those are sparklies and caused by a too narrow video bandpass filter.

Can I just say I miss sparklies with Digital TV :)
