As part of the Speed Awareness Initiative, this idea was tried out but eventually rejected because no money was made out of it by the authorities

Surely that is not the object of the exercise

I don't know about you, but this would slow me down! People slow down and try to 'straddle' the hole, then breath a sigh of relief when they completely clear it!


This is much cheaper than speed cameras

John Lennon got it right with the line 10,000 holes in Blackburn Lancashire, only difference now that he is dead is there are 20,000
