Has anyone any suggestions as to how to help prevent spiders crawling up the "spout" of an invacom quad lnb? Just had a baby tarantula and nest removed after losing nearly all channels. It was a coincidence that the loss of channels was immediately after very high winds, must have been sheltering from the weather!
Have actually sprayed Bio-kill around the area and on the lnb BUT not inside. Keeping fingers and all eight legs crossed.

I had a similar problem. At first I thought the lnb was packing in.

I've read you can cover the opening with a plastic cap or even kitchen film. I suppose you will sacrifice "some" signal. I think I too will probably spray the lnb ( not very ecological I know ) which will hopefully deter any insects.

Read on another forum that a condom:eek: stretched over or some polystyrene shoved in there will do the job.

Robbo:)

Tarantula??????
Don't say that,I spend a lot of time evicting spiders from feedhorns. :eek:If I get bitten, how long do I have before I get the customer to suck out the venom?:)

Probably long enough for one last gasp ;) nudge nudge

the chance of a tarantula being on my LNB is unlikely.

penguins or polar bears swinging on the dish maybe!
