Hi

New to the forum and technical side of things
I am having problems with a number of channels on 42E, and looking through the lyngsat lists it seems they all have one thing in common - low SR's. The signal strengths are very good on the higher SRs.
I have a very basic Palcom FTA and 80cm dish setup (Dublin) and am wondering can anything be done to optimise the reception.
Also, would the Motek motor be a worthwhile investment for such a basic system - although the Palcom is compatible?

Thanks a lot

For the low sr channels, try detuning the receiver by a few MHz - +/- 6 should do it in 2MHz steps. This can help lock up these awkward channels.

My DVB-S needs a meg and a quarter UP most of the time with low SRs.
maybe worth trying both ways just in case :)
