Had a stab motor system for a few years with no problems.
Suddenly the motor will not move the dish anymore.
Is there anyway that I can check what the problem is?
Signal strength to the receiver is o.k. all connections o.k. it just refuses to move.
Any suggestions?

Possible dead motor. Can you hear the drive mechanism turning?

Have you tried moving it via the Manual East/West buttons on the Motor casing?

The quickest and easiest solution I think would be to get another one, though I suppose you could try moving it with east and west buttons on the receiver, or resetting the motor, or try a different receiver.

I have removed the motor and opened it and it looks o.k., But, I have also tried to move it by hand but it is locked solid, so it looks like I will have to get a new one.
Thaks for all your replies.

Oh? Strange!

All the H-H motors I've seen have them - then again, I've only played with Moteck/clones.

The STAB HH100 & 120 differ some what to that of the Moteck clones.

Upward facing stub, yes. (Oooh, Matron!)

Bit odd not having a "local" facility for driving them, though.

An essential tool attached for such an occasion TiVu :D

@geebeeone, I've come across one before that had the same symptoms. A replacement was the quickest option :)

Yep, the Stabs don't have buttons, had my td110 on one for a while, downward facing stub on mine (HH-90).

Too noisy and too much backlash anyway, for my liking. (though it could have been the td110 that did it:D)

Oh, since you've had it off already, more reason to save the messing and bung on another.
