My Dreambox will not fully boot up when I have the coax signal in? It will boot without it in? I have recently moved house and have had to put a new fitting on the coax? Any ideas.
 
Have you checked that the cabling is all good and that the LNB is working.

I'd have to suspect that there is a problem somewhere along those lines.

A bit more detail on your updated setup would help.
 
Is there a short circuit in the cable?
 
I am having coax replaced tomorrow, i 'll report back what happens.
 
I have got past the problem with the box cutting out. The issue wasn't with the coax, it was the wrong power supply I had used, when the coax was plugged in the power supply couldn't cope.

Anyway next issue is that I am finding the satellites but can't get them to lock. The signal level is up at 90+% but the snr is high at around 60% so the satellites wont lock. I have tried using 1 step east and 1 step west to reduce but it aint happening. There is a clear line of sight with no obstructions. Anyone any advise?
