My Satellite Setup
I have a DM500-s, 3 satellite dishes, and a netbook to connect the DM to the internet (BENQ)
My Location
Egypt
Guys, I'm new to dreambox, and I have some questions I need help and advice with.
I connected my satellite dishes to the DB, and I got it connected to the internet, and then I updated the software to the latest update available.

I would like to be able to connect to a free card sharing server, but I don't know how to do it. Nothing in the menu seems to point to that...
PS: I don't have a card, and didn't install any files onto the DB. (DM500-s)

Hello

Welcome to the forum leeelooo

Well there is about three months worth of reading for you to brush up on in in the dreambox section. This is after all a self help forum. Card sharing servers are generally paid for and often run by the criminal elements of society, they are unreliable and disappear as fast as your money does. The safest way is if you and a group of friends create your own circle of sharers each bringing something to the party in the form of a subscription thus you all pay a small subscription but all enjoy each others as well.
Free ones are rubbish, forget it. Please do not makes offers or requests for CS on this forum, it is strictly against the rules

Dear Topper,
Thank you for your reply and advice. I'll do what you suggested with my friends. I've already spoken to one of them and he told me he'll take care of it.
I have another question though, I bought a new 40" Sony Bravia LCD TV, but I feel that the quality of the satellite channels reception is dire. More like VCD. I played DVDs and the quality was perfect, could it be that the DM is the culprit? I think the one I have is a clone
thanks again

How are you connecting your DM to the TV?
