I used a 24" superjack with my monster and it handled the worst storms with no problems. They are very powerful.

Maybe play it safe and get the 24". :)

Thanks hexah, I was thinking the same and for the sake of 6 pound, I am also wanting to track in-clined orbits what are my options please,

little bit I think I know I can use my old actuator the sats move in a figure of 8 ? if so its a click up click left etc to lock if doing it manually ? I understand I will need another v box, if I wanted it automatic what would be my cheapest option please thanks for any information.

If it was me, I would just do it manually.

iirc someone added an LNB vertically above their existing LNB with a multi LNB bracket to get 8w but I don't know how successful that was.

What I would do is get two sets of T & K brackets and either attach the dish to the house wall or the outhouse wall.

How about 3 or 4 galvanized chimney brackets using straps or wire around the wood?

Then you could use a scaffold pole.

Thanks again m8, I made a miss calculation when I had the bracket fabricated and had the pole cut to short I took my measurement from the bottom of the bracket not the plate, I don't want to mess about with wires and things as my project was to keep things nice and tidey for when my garden is landscaped, I think taking the bracket to be welded is the way for me to keep things as I want them, thanks again m8:)

Please have a quick look from here I have put a little thought into the end result thanks hexah for you help :)

I think your going to have to have something fabricated by a local Metal company which will go onto your already pre-fab bracket, i doubt it would cost the earth to have something knocked up

Martin-f! I like your stand. Sometimes we underestimate wood as a material to build something. But in same cases wood is really better, cheaper and also could be stronger.
Recently I also got situation when pipe is too short.. But, instead sending it back to welder, I inserted smaller-diameter pipe inside and fixed it with several bolts (blue dots on picture), than just cut heads of bolts with angle-grinder. In your case, if you do not have another pipe to be inserted inside, I would find a welder and add piece of pipe to existing one. Or, making new stand could be an option. ;)

You can use exhaust pipe couplers, these come in 76mm/3in sizes. Then bolt it up and weld. Vipersan did just that.
