Super Power Jack

Depends where you are going to put it ?

It might look too big on the post you have the 1.2 mounted on.

Well, the 1.8m CM is a work of art - I wouldn't be considering anything else really.

Should be fine then as those houses look quite far from your garden and cut them tree stumps down.

As for the mount look at the ones on sat superstore and get one made up locally to you ?

I think the cm 1.8 fits a 4.5 inch pole standard but I do believe sat superstore have a motorised mount that fits a 3 inch pole.

Thanks wod the trees are dying ;) and the stumps don't interfere with my signal the stump on the left is bang inline of 7w and I do well there,

Yes I will take a look at the mounts and get something made up myself when I have the funds thanks for you help wod :)

7west is like something of a dark art up here, I get nothing on it.

Could use the stumps as fire wood.

I could not wish for a better location wod the 1.2 dish is pointing at 0.8w and the 1mtr is pointing at 57e a few pictures to give you an idea of my line of sight, shame you cant get 7w:( pal its a busy place as you know,

Yes I have thought about cutting them down for my fire probably 2/3 months free heating but just not got the time atm, maybe summer time when I start work in the garden:)

Does the Bird Table have any special functions?

Thanks hexah, I only bought the house due to this :-rofl2.

Excellent view to the south. The best reason to buy a house.

:-bighappy

Just don't expect anyone else who is not a sat fan to get it.

:-rofl2

Does the Bird Table have any special functions?

It has disco lights and a small sound system so the birds can have parties.

I need to sort the bird table out to be honest tivu, the strong winds we have been having keeps blowing them off (my feeders that is) and losing food from them, I will make something to stop them swinging :)

yes I am waiting for your pun tivu :-lol

Declination control: Have a look at my Fibo thread for more ideas.

C-band LNB: Preferable (in my opinion) would always be side-by-side configuration, not over-and-under how CJ has done it. That way the C-band LNB is on the arc and just needs an additional DiSEqC position added to the V-box. CJ has done his like that rather than attack the issue of modifying the supports of the LNB bracket. Either way is going to work to change band, but in CJ's case two V-boxes working in unison are needed for automatic band switching.

PF v Offset: I work with a lot of Famaval PF dishes and some CM1.8's. I would say in general SNR from both dishes is the same and any slight variation is down to the LNB/feedhorn configuration. Main difference is CM is bulletproof, whereas a 1mm thick aluminium dish face is a lot easier to damage.

I have ended up making my own inner and outer sleeves from what was left from the pole. I am sure it will be ok when welded up, hopefully tomorrow,

That should do the trick:) it will have to come back down at some point as it does not need to be so high but I need to shorten the railway sleeper, I just need to wire and line her up now:).

I have got her lined up and tracking the arc the wires need tidying up but that's enough for today,
