Super Power Jack

I was meaning mechanical stops for antenna. Those ones, in actuator, of course should be adjusted as needed.
 
They are safety stops I don't trust setting them up in the stb so I set them in the actuator, please watch this rima, this is what I do to keep every thing safe from damage.

 
Martin! I know those switches very well and adjusted them many times. But what I would like to say: by moving those switches too far you will shorten length of actuator , which is not good. Better in that case is adjusting of positions of actuator's mounting points to use it's maximum length, that gives more strength to system.
 
I cant see that been a problem as long as I can reach the sats, I have no need to bolt/drill anything until I put the other motor on it for inclined orbits, but thanks for you ideas rima:)
 
I think that with existing but properly adjusted actuator, you can get full Clarke-belt, of course, with deceptions where you have obstacles.

Thank you rima, atm I can get from 57e to 61w , by the time I have set stops a little beyond this they wont be much travel left on the actuator, Thanks again and I hope you have a good weekend take care :),
 
I never bothered to set any limits on my big dish. Even now with my diseqc motor I don't bother to set any limits.

I like the methods you and rima used for quick adjustment. I used threaded bar and some nuts and clamps and a thick pair of leather gloves. The gloves were essential!

On my 1mtr diseqc motor limits are set by itself hexah 61.5w/57e It wont go any further, I must set limits on my bigger dish as it will hit the pole,

I learnt the hard way to start with messing with the actuator and had to mess around finding sats again once bitten,

Leather gloves :cool: now your talking :-rofl2 come on spill the beans
