Errm, it was on BBC1 last night, about 2 hours after your post, next episode is on Tuesday.
A rehash of the original, with louder incidental music, but this time round there are no CB radios or people knowledgable with morse code. Of course they all have cell phones meaning they are all up the creek without a paddle.
Oh and nobody so far has thought of borrowing a diesel car and running it on vegetable oil.
