Help Required Switch For WR75 Ku Orthomode With 2 x SMW Type E LNB's ?

Hi,

Would anyone please be able to suggest a suitable switch for use with a WR75 Ku-Band orthomode that has two SWM Type E LNB's attached? Each SMW Type E LNB has two outputs, one for low band one for high band, each band activated by a different L.O. The low band L.O. on each SMW LNB is 9.75GHz, the high band L.O. on each LNB is 10.6GHz

In the current Sky Q dish topic there is a reference to a Unitron DCSS 422 switch that has 4 inputs, Low-H, Low-V, High-H and High-V, could this be used as a suitable switch or do I need something different like a multiswitch that is used with a quattro LNB?

One output from a suitable switch is fine, if there are two outputs even better.
 
What recevier is to be used ?

The dCSS-422 has a fixed 22kHz ouptut on each upper frequency port, derved from the circuitry inside. Will this affect the SMW in any way ?

It shouldn't do. I had the type E SMW on the corotor connected to a similar multiswitch only using HH and HL as the polarity was controlled by a servo motor and the ASC box set at 18v output for the LNB, it worked just great.

If I can only get a 1 output switch it will be an NS2000 demodulator. If a 2 output switch is available I will connect the 2nd output to something like a TM-5402 or Dr HD F15 to act as a dedicated monitoring receiver configured only for a few satellites. THe NS2000 demodulator has the usual LNB control options that are found in satellite receivers.

The Unitron switch has two legacy outputs.
 
Give me an hour and I'll post the spec sheet for comparison. Very well made, as is all Johansson stuff

If I follow the diagram correctly, the 4 x LNB outputs from the 2 x SMW Type E LNB's connect to a cascadeable multiswitch and the outputs from that connect to the Unitron?

For my specific need, would I need to use the Unitron or could I simplify things by connecting the NS2000 and the TM-5402 directly to the cascadeable multiswitch. My knowledge of switches is hopeless so I have no idea how these things work and what functionality is required.

The 422 works on its own with a quattro/quad LNB. They can be sourced for somewhat less than a multiswitch and you can add/use a Q box if you subscribe to Sky.
