Iran is jamming transponders again

Just like in September 2024 when Iran also interfered at 52° East, the 11.344 H 2/3 27,500 has now been put back into use.

Since this transponder is now again affected by the 11.350 H 3/4 45,000 DVB-S2/8PSK on Belintersat 1 - 51.5° East, I am repeating my message from September 2024:

TurkmenÄlem MonacoSat - 52° East:

I did the following regarding reception of TurkmenÄlem MonacoSat - 52°E 11344 H 27500 2/3:

I aimed the dish at the position of Express AM 6 at 53° East, which is already in my receiver's database, and entered 11344 H 2/3 27500 dvbs-2 as a new transponder.

And I got the following data: Signal: 87% / Quality 84%

After scanning, all channels from 11.344 H 2/3 27,500 come in perfectly.

I found on my 1.2m dish that I got the best results by pointing 0.5 degrees more to the east than would be optimal for 53.0E.
Here you can see the effect: when tuning to 52.0E (orange curve) the signal is a lot stronger, but you can the interference on the rigght
of the peak (shown as 11348H). When moving the dish east (blue curve) the signal of interest is weakened a lot but the interference drops
faster:
at 11344H the drop is from 23.4 to 17.4, i.e. 6dB
At 11365, the dtop is from 20 to 10.2Db i.e., 9.8dB

TurkmenÄlem MonacoSat - 52° East:

A new Persian channel has started on the TurkmenAlem satellite:
Khabarbin TV

11.420 V 27.500 FEC 3/4

More and more broadcasters are leaving the 52.5° East position and continue broadcasting on 52.0° East. Yesterday, 2 more broadcasters switched over.

The two broadcasters Khane Honarmandan and Khane Film left the Yahsat satellite (52.5° East) and continued their transmission via TurkmenAlam (52.0° East).

Coming soon:

FX 1 will become FX Movies

FX 2 will become FX Cartoon

FX 2 will soon be visiting your homes under its new name FX Cartoon. Every day you can watch an animated movie block on this channel featuring the following series: Sonic Boom, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rise of the Ninja, Puss in Boots, Boss Baby: Back to the Cradle, Haunted Hotel, Hunting Season: The Call of the Wild, Bad Boys for Life: Infiltration, and "The Charmed Ones." All programs will be repeated 6, 12, and 18 hours later.
From this date on, no more animated movies will be broadcast on FX 1, which now has the new name FX Movies.

The Telegram channel of Radio Gilan has announced that it will launch a television channel. Details about this will be announced soon.

Setareh is now also available in SD quality:

Setareh SD
11.221 V 27.500

Announcement:
The Hotbird version of Setareh will be discontinued and will then only be available via the satellites of TurkmenAlam and Eutelsat7 East.

Persiana Teen returns by popular demand.

Persiana Teen, which was discontinued by Persiana some time ago, has been made available again due to repeated public requests.

This channel replaces Persiana Vibe HD.

Persiana Teen HD
10.762 V 27.500

It remains strange; some time ago, FX 1 was changed to FX Movies, FX 2 was changed to FX Cartoon, and Persiana Vibe was changed to Persiana Teen as announced. The programs and the on-screen logo were correspondingly changed, but the old name still appears when the transponders are read.

Manoto

The channel Manoto has been disconnected from all satellites.

The channel has announced that the owner of the rented premises for live broadcasts wants to terminate the lease due to security threats and will no longer grant employees access. Therefore, no programs will be broadcast until further notice.

manoto is back again but without live broadcasts

According to a Persian website:

Manoto is being broadcast from home!

Following the news that came out today that the owner of the building Manoto had rented would not grant employees access to the studio for security reasons, it seems that the station's staff took the equipment home and some programs are being broadcast from home.

Currently, Manoto is airing a documentary from the archives.

Also new:

Sima Sabet launches her own satellite TV channel!

Sima Sabet, former host and program producer at Iran International, who left the station a few months ago due to disagreements, recently launched her own independent media channel called Pulse Media on Twitter and YouTube.

This channel is now also available via satellite:

Pulse TV

Exclusive: Broadcasters move to the TurkmenÄlem satellite.

The Iranian National Revolutionary Network, which is associated with Reza Pahlavi's entourage, will be available via the TurkmenÄlem satellite in the coming hours.

Since yesterday evening and over more than 15 hours, 5 major frequencies on the Yahsat satellite have been shut down, and almost 80 Persian satellite channels are completely unreachable.

Several transponders have failed, namely 11996, 12149, 12073, 11843, and 11958.

According to the satellite itself, the current problem is a serious issue with the payload, and it is unknown when this will be resolved.

It is, of course, strange and puzzling that the problem with the payload has caused all five frequencies on which Iran International broadcasts to fail, while the other frequencies continue to broadcast without issues.

In addition to news channels, popular entertainment channels such as TV8, MBC Persia, and Grand Cinema are also off the air.

Voice of America and Radio Farda, which were previously no longer receivable via Hotbird, are now not available on any satellite.

TV8 has announced that it will soon announce a new frequency and is currently not receivable on any frequency or satellite.

After the events of last night on Yahsat and exactly 24 hours later, a large number of broadcasters on Yahsat quickly submitted an application to also broadcast via the TurkmenAlam satellite.

Zed TV has just joined TurkmenAlam as well.

Zed TV
11.420 V 27.500

Since Yahsat has officially stated in response to its customers' inquiries that it has no information at all about the reactivation of the transponders, we will probably be able to watch the remaining Yahsat broadcasters migrate to the Turkmen satellite from now on.

Also (unless I have a dicky dish), there are a few frequencies being interfered with tonight

Its a bit odd all the Turkmenistan channels are on colour bar testcards this early in the evening. Some of them normally run pretty views of the monuments & cities.

Not much sign of interference atm though.

All Persian-language news channels are now receivable on a new frequency of TurkmenAlam.
11,343 H 27,500

The television channel "Mohabat TV" has begun broadcasting in HD via the Turkmen-Alam satellite:
Mohabat TV
11,420 V 27,500

According to the operators of the channel, this change is a continuation of the migration wave of various Persian-language channels to the Turkmen-Alam satellite.

They announced that after the events and problems a few days ago with the company "North Telecom," which they consider were associated with unprofessional behavior and contract violations, the process of switching to a more stable and secure satellite was initiated.

According to reports, in the coming weeks a few other Persian-language channels will also be transferred to the Turkmen-Alam satellite to ensure broadcast stability and avoid disruptions.

A new transponder has also been launched:
12,245 h 27,500

12.245 H 1/2 27.500 DVB-S2/QPSK
12.399 H 1/2 27.500 DVB-S2/QPSK

are switched off again

new:

Norte Telecom has activated two new transponders on the TurkmenAlam satellite:

12.455 V 27.500
12.245 H 27.500

however, these are via the MENA beam

Most Yahsat satellite channels that were switched off are being transmitted via the southern (Mena) Turkmenalam satellite

These transponders will only be available in the southwest of Iran and activated because Norte Telecom is "forced" to make the remaining Yahsat contracts available in some way and everywhere.

It is very likely that these signals will not even be available in Tehran and that they are being provided on these frequencies only to avoid the risk of legal disputes.
