I recently made a mistake and programmed my Dragon with the wrong files.
I have now correctly programmed the card, but when in the receiver, after I select 'TREX Update', I keep getting the message 'card does not have a valid image'...'select here when LOADER card is in'
I don't know where to go from here.
H E L P !

Others have made the same mistake so don't worry. Try loading an old original Predator file, from:
_http://www.satellitekinder.com/
Ckick on firmware and scroll down the page.
Once this has loaded try loading a later Predator 362 file.

Tried that and it doesn't want to work.
Is there some way of resetting the cam ??'O'-red

What loader card are you using? Is it Fun7?

Yes, Fun7 and AD Teknik Elvis Programmer.
The Funcard seems to be programming correctly with Predator.
I even tried completely erasing it first.
Not sure now if the problem is with the card or the cam.

I've seen files around on other sites which will carry out a repair on a Prussian5 card. Just can't remember where.

Try loading the FUN7LDR.HEX only and then writing to the loader card.
Then load the FUN7LDR.HEX, and the Predator file, and try to load your cam again.

I tried that but it doesn't work.
I believe the problem now to be with the cam.
It seems to be in a 'locked state'
However I program the loader card now, the cam shows' TREX Update' then..... 'Card does not contain a valid image' and 'select me when loader card is in'
Unless I am able to reset the cam in some way, I think I'll have to buy a new cam.
:frown:

You could try a Cas 3 programmer, which doesn't require a loader card, hopefully a friend, who has one, or someone who lives near you, can try updating it.

Thankyou Mickha.
Will either do that or try and get someone to repair the cam for me.

Try contacting van hoof, he repairs damaged bootloaders in the Dragon/T-Rex cams very cheaply and might know of this problem.

I have now solved the problem.
I will explain how I solved it, hoping that it will help others....
The problem, infact was with the T.Rex Loader card and not the cam.
I have always used the MultiProg for the Elvis (AD Teknik) Programmer and used the 'fast write' option, without problem.
The wrong file that I used, comprised of Flash, Int Eeprom and Ext Eeprom.
I tried writing the correct files to the card, then I tried erasing and then writing the correct files. I kept getting the message 'The Card does not contain a valid image'.
Finally, I tried the 'slow write' option and now all is fine.
I am not sure if the card is harder to write to with age, or if it's something to do with having incorrectly written to both Eeproms.
Anyway, I'm very relieved that the cam is still in good condition.
