This looks interesting if you run one of the linux distros - a replacement for vrs

Might have a bash at that one, the historical tracking might be useful. It'll have to wait a while until I finish decorating the room that usually holds my flight tracking stuff - I only have the one RPi in action at present for FR24, and that's on the floor, nowhere to put it :confused

That tangle of cables looks like the back of my telly :-lol

That's got absolutely NOTHING on the one behind ours - got to pull the AV cabinet (with the telly sitting on it) out in the next day or so and will aim to take a few shots!

When we moved house & I dismantled the AV stack I found at least half a dozen cables that didnt have any apparent function at all - apart from being wrapped around others in a Gordian knot type of tangle!!

Surely you would just use a linux computer get the tar1090 set up & hook it into the 1090 data output port of the existing pi?

Yeah, I'll try that. I have a RPi and monitor used for various Linux OS's in another room, I can find a spare card and put the tar1090 on that.
After next week though, need to finish the decorating, and tidy up the cats cradle of cables - if I can remember what goes where :-doh
