Hello, going to order the above tomorrow, need advise on what I need to install, any software I need to buy thanks
 
Useful applications that you need for tbs card or tuner usb are: EBS Pro and dvb-s players with license (DVB Dream,ProDVB,DVBViewer)to have access to all functions.We have great luck that Crazyscan is free and that thanks to @CrazyCat.The rest of the applications you'll discover yourself along the way.
 
SmartDVB is a good free viewing program. I use it with a TBS6983.

Unfortunately, EBSPro has ceased selling licences.

It was reported in Rick's Wildfeeds forum (where the author of EBSPro used to post a lot). Apparently the author announced this in a Tweet. The 'Donate' button on his website is disabled, so there's no way to pay for a licence at the moment (and he hasn't made it free!). The wording of the Tweet could be interpreted that it will come back in the future.

I need two/three boxes so it no problem, its not out while end of year, will give me time to get used to using them:)

Totally new to using cards Jack, for the sake of £10 or less its worth keeping it cool, maybe look for one with usb fan,

I couldn't get a picture to start with, swapped to Elicard codecs and its ok, any advice on better codecs to download please, one that's working is 2003,

Nice to get a screen shot without messing with camera, laptop appears to be handling HD ok about 50% usage don't know how it will cope with more power hungry stuff.

Lots to learn but first impressions I love it :)

Downloaded later version with updated codec. CPU appears to be running lower with HD channels than older version, I will have to set newsgroups up see what software I can find :D

HEVC UHD 4K

I have same 5925 card, should it be able to view a feed in the above format?
 
Blade.Screenshot is pretty good I used it a long time.
I find that the snipping tool is quicker.Also most of the time you do not have to resize the snips.
To find it click Start, then all programs,Then Accessories.It is half way down the list.
If you use it often like I do right click on it choose 'Pin to task bar'.Works in W7. Don't know about W10. Appoligies if you already know this.Don't want to be telling Granny how to suck eggs.:)
