The TBS 6983 card is the best card so far and as hard core DXers me (Sato) and Peon (aka Onacila) would like to prove the card`s capability on the following examples. We test our hardware to the maximum on various bands as we can cover C (3.4-4.2 + 4.5-4.8 GHz), Ku (10.75-12.75 GHz) and Ka (18.2-22.2 GHz) plus X band (7.25-7.75 GHz hardware is ready).

Anyway, with TBS 6983 on Windows 7 (32 bit) the lowest SR we have been able to get so far is SR 128 and the highest is SR 60000 KS/s. Both stable and hassle free on a 2.5m prime focus dish by using XMW 9216HDF and NJR 2842S. SR 139 KS/s have been received in C band by using a Norsat 8115F LNB. I guess these are current limits in orbit at the moment, but definitely not the TBS card! If there`s anything under or above those SRs, I`ll post screenshost here asap.

Additional details can be found on lyngsat.com or flysat.com where our and other DXers` updates are posted.

I think it has been posted here before but the card can cover 250-2350MHz. It may do more but mine stops working above 2350 and I can not get streamreader to accept values below 250MHz. I find it useful for using LNBs outside their normal range.

Set the IF limits and IF high/low flips in streamreader.ini (CrazyScan & EBSPro)
Code:
;! Change IF range (default 950-2150MHz)
IFStart=250
IFStop=2350
;LNBMid=6000
LNBStk=23000

Calculate LNBMid and LNBStk for C & Ka:
Code:
#define IF_FREQM(X) (((LOF>LNB_MID) && (LOF<LNB_STK)) ? (X-LOF) : (LOF-X))
#define FREQM(X) (((LOF>LNB_MID) && (LOF<LNB_STK)) ? (LOF+X) : (LOF-X))

There was a tp at 5E, with SR over 60000, I found old picture of qwer.

old thread here but i want to add some extra information. TBS6983 , it is an old card but a really good one. ive just tested mine and i can confirm that (STV6120 ) it can all the way up till 2450mhz. At very edge it s struggling to get lock. cause it is not seeing the whole carrier. over 2450mhz there is nothing (though the driver alows us to go up up up..)

and what inside ?:) some data or radio ?

or test carrier?

Peon has a designed LNB for this band as well. But he is willing to test this position maybe tomorrow...
He`s playing with Es`hail 2 today. :cool:

First of all CrazyCat , you are my hero ❤️

i just wanted to test my cards limit and generated that datv signal with Adalm-Pluto and DATV Express software. i mean nothing special on 1W (telenorsat is such a borring satellite operator)

No sign of a "life form" @ 1W in this frequency band was found today by Peon.
