I suspect mine is not activated as the request button is active and not greyed out ..
I thought I followed the correct procedure to obtain a serial number which I dont have ...but that was a while back and nothing as yet in my inbox ..
It may well be that this version has never been active in anything other than demo mode ..but the process is so convoluted I am about to throw in the towel ..and my requests have not been answered ..although the ABC server is supposedly polled every few minutes ..
Supposedly once I have a serial number I then request a licence but until I have this I can't do a thing ..
Did you guys have this much grief ??

I've uninstalled it
downloaded it again and installed ..and sent another serial number request..
I'll check my inbox again later ..but not getting my hopes up..
This process is either not working ..or my requests are being ignored.
Maybe because I had a serial number in the past ..back when I ran XP ...but the whole system was rebuilt after moving to win7 ...so what choice had I

I had a problem getting a licence using Windows Live Mail, got chucked out as spam. So I used GMail instead, which went straight through.
 
Well still nothing from ABC ...so either I'm effectively blacklisted ...my email address that is.
Or they wont issue a new serial on account I once had one back in the XP days ...and I'm not allowed a second one..
Or they no longer issue freebies..
Or their server is no longer running..
Or the pdf is invalid and serials are no longer issued within 10 minutes.
Or I cannot re-register having uninstalled and re-installed.
Or I'm just too bloody stupid to understand the process
I'm giving up for tonight.

Got 4 bounced undelivered replies to my request for serial in my inbox this morning ..
and no serial number ...
So am giving up trying ..
4T2 was excellent ..but since I can no longer use it ..will be dropped from my toolbox.

I've got the same several days ago. It seems their servers do not work, and nobody takes care of this there...

Btw, if you start the 4t2 in file mode (ie analyze a ts file) and then without stopping it change the source to UDP, it will continue to work, regardless of the license (which in any case is a nuisance, too much trouble to make it work everytime you may change something in the PC)!

at least I now know it's a problem their end ..and that maybe I'm not a moron afterall.
I guess a new build is a mistake in light of this.
I don't mind so much if I can link the license to a usb stick ...but got to get one first ..
btw ..I've PMd Ekkehard but no reply so far..

I've read several months ago that the server has been shut down.I can't remember where I read that.I'm not sure if it is also true.I reinstalled the software and although my serial is accepted by the application,the license appears as Demo.Most likely the server is not working.
 
..the licence key relates to the hardware signature for which the serial was applied. But I don't know if it really matters. Here are 2 screen shots from 31,5E, 11992H, MIS, T2-MI. You see 2 different licence codes: H and HL. The latter appears when a USB HHD is attached to my laptop. If I remember correctly my signature was sent with the HDD plugged in. I don't know if all functions work with both configurations but T2-Mi is the most important feature for me :D

don't change your hardware ..
Hope your hard drives never need replacing ..
or chances are it'll stop working for you guys too..

What I don't understand is why it is still available for download on their site ..as it is all but useless as it is for anyone installing it now.

We must keep in mind that Ekkehard's tool is offered for free.The application does not bring any profit for him,and maybe he is not even interested in this aspect.Maybe for this reason, besides the personal, that we don't know, it doesn't matter if the application is downloaded or not.And yet,even limited, his application remains in our attention to those interested in it.
Important is the fact that the author leaves open his site and you can download his application.What gives us hope that Ekkehard will resume work sooner or later.
On this occasion we realize how important are these applications(4T2,Blindscan,EBS,etc) for each of us.Without them,the most capable/performance dvb-s2 card remains at an ordinary card level.
I like to know what is new to the latest version 0.10 of 4T2 Content Analyser,downloaded it recently,towards v. 0.9.36.506?

I get what you are saying Satesco ....but if it can be downloaded yet cannot run ...there is little point in having it the public eye ..
In fact it may be detrimental to the softwares image.
If Ekkehard were to offer a limited version for use by satellite enthusiasts I would certainly make a contribution to it's development ..
..as I have done twice with EBSpro
..and if Crazycat ever asked for some financial input to his amazing project ..this too I'd be happy to support..
so long as it didn't break my limited bank.
These guys have to make a living ..and often ask little in return for all their hard work..on which we depend in our hobby environment.
Nuff said..
I too hope he resumes the project soon..

Like buses they all come at once..
The 4 attempts to obtain a serial were presented to the system over and over ..continually bouncing back..
but this morning I received 4 replies and 4 serial numbers and validation keys ..
Next problem ...
I reinstalled 4T2 ..and entered the a serial and validation key ..
hit the add button ...and this is what I got ..
I presume it's a win7 issue with admin rights again ..or somesuch.
I have the UAC slider at minimum...
anyone had this and perhaps tell me what I'm doing wrong ?

Is 4T2 active at this point ..or does one now have to apply fo a license..

Never got this far before..
I'll read the pdf again ..but clearer if someone explains this to me.
