techmomate tm-1500 ci+

help! have just bought a techmomate tm -1500 receiver and was told it has a multi-cam built in.
i looked on the menu and nothing appears.what software is required to make it work?
has anyone already done one of these rxs?

Just seen your posts. I'm thinking of buying a Technomate 1500CI.
Could either of you please let me know the encrypted channels you can get by uploading the latest software to the receiver.

I have been searching all over the place with no luck.
ISH can i get the sw from you if you don't mind.

If you'd have gone to the receiver software section and looked at the thread, cunningly entitled So You Want Receiver Software Patches? you'd have found the site. ;)

Hello there everyone hope this finds you well.
Ok Im really looking for advice here.We have a common ***+ receiver at the moment and Im thinking of replacing it with a TECHNOMATE TMS1500 CI. Now Im pretty computer literate however when it comes to things like this I am a typical woman and useless. Can I please ask if this is a good box and will it be a suitable replacement.
What are its capabilites? or can I have it simply as a second box in a bedroom for example?

I assume you only have a dish pointing at Astra 2, 28.2E, for sky channels, in which case you will need another dish, probably a 1 Metre one, to get the most out of the Technomate receiver.
The Technomate 1500 is not designed to work with sky and all you will receive from the sky dish is the FTA channels.
If you are interested in other satellites consider getting a motorized set up so that your dish can follow the satellite arc and pick up a variety of different satellites between 45 degrees east and 45 degrees west of south.
