Nilesat 201 Channels are not available without a huge dish.

The ones you might get are those from the new Eutelsat 7WA Satellite (Originally known as Atlantic Bird 7) at that position.

I'm afraid that learning how to drive your Receiver is something you must do without assistance - all DVB S Boxes do much the same thing, but in subtly different ways. Menu structures and foibles are peculiar to a type.
PID Search is the option to scan a specific TP, on my tecnomate 5402
so is it a case of entering the current tp off kingofsats webste and simplyscaning

Well seeing as ABC & Turkmen TV arent carried on 7W or anywhere near 7W you will have to forget those!

Dubai One is Nilesat 201 - you have absolutely no chance whatsoever of getting N-201 in Wakefield.

Look at this website:

www.flysat.com/nilesat.php

Forgert anything on Nilesats 101 102 or 201.
ok from my first post can i get Eutel 7WA do i jsut need to blind scan

As stated earlier, Blind Scan on 7W will mislead as you'll pull in stuff from 8W and 5W too.

But if you're prepared to do a lot of Deleting, why not?

PID search is not what you think it is and is a very specific and quite advanced method which need not concern us right now.

To add a TP from a listings site, you need Frequency, Symbol Rate and Polarity and probably nothing else: Certainly not PIDs.

IF your dish is accurately aligned and IF its big enough to cope with any bad weather then yes you can just blind scan.

If its raining I suggest you leave it and try later. - rain is a good absorber of the incredibly feeble signals being transmitted from the satellites.

Well if the Box is brand new, then at least some of the pre-stored TPs must stand a chance of being correct, so start off by scanning those.

Well thats a good start - you know your dish is aimed in the right direction. :)

Now reception can vary from day to day and from hour to hour. A cold clear day is almost always the best time to scan as rain or even thick cloud can absorb the signals.

You will soon get to know when the best time to try for your channels is. :)

Yes, you would .............. much stronger and well within the Beamwidth of a 1m dish pointing at 7.2W.

I mentioned it earlier.

On the other hand, the fact you got 8W rather than the immensely strong 5W at least demonstrates the Dish alignment is spot on.

Edit: You know what, AS .................... !

Since you ask!

Trial and error manualy deleteing duplicate and unwanted TPs on each bird scanned ( commonly called winnowing the seed from the chaff ) or retaining channels on certain TPs that are of personal interest and deleteing unwanted.

Good luck

I got this from your first post

east (installer stated cant get past 26e)

Have you called him to see if he will be willing to do the retune for you, upload a newer channel list into the box, or at least confirm what satellites to the west he thinks you might get with the dish and LNB outside ?
