Just to go over the obvious, is there a software update option on the menus, so if the box is connected to the internet act accordingly?

Blunt question,how do I connect the box to the Internet?
The instruction booklet I have does not consider using anything beyond USB sticks...
However it does say you can use ,I think,an ethernet cable or bluetooth to connect to the modem...
I use ethernet for Hbb tv (Arte) over my aerial. Will i use that same cable?

OTA is not internet but something direct from satellite or aerial.

You will need to work with your supplier to check if the upgrade(s) are available by these, on the internet or by USB.

have written to Technomate last Thursday ,and no answer apart from the automatized "thank you for writing ,we 'll answer within 12 hours".....to no avail.
My time/date settings are right,I have set them properly.
