Technomate TM4100D remote control

Hi, new to forum but been reading for a while. Hope you can help..Problem is im very interested in seeing whats out there in FTA sat world and just purchased a second hand receiver from ebay. Unfortunately Ive just been informed that it doest come with a remote control for the above unit (Technomate TM4100D)which is not handy at all. What i`d like to know is can I do anything at all without the remote regarding retuning for different satellites or if not where possible to buy a new control that would alow me the different functions (he said he used a multifunction/tv/vcr/sat remote but Im not convinced that would alow me what I want to do) and lastly is the unit Ive bought any good? Hope someone can give us a bit of advice please

In my personal opinion the 4100 is about the worst Technmate going! :D

Its oversized, clunky, & the software operation is totally different to the intuitive and nicely designed 1000 series.

If you can figure it out is a reasonable fta box but dont expect much else from it
 
many thanks for the quick response :) to be honest Id stuck a cheap bid in and then forgot and landed it for a tenner but I really should have done a bit of research lol. Its just for playing about with really but no good without bloody remoteO-st
 
You could get in touch with Technomate to see if they will sell you a remote.
