Curious as usual ...and wondering if the North Atlantic beams will carry any world cup feeds..?
Thought I'd re-check this location tonight as it's a dry sort of night..
Only ever locked 3 transponders here..but tonight locked 4 ..
Granted no pics to show all 4 appear to carry data ..
mostly ACM..
But 4 transponders locked is one more than previous attempts.
11469H 17867 1/4
11635H 17867 5/6
11664H 1000 1/4
11681H 13500 1/4

Only lock for me is:

11668 H 5000 but must be data and I'm getting signal from 11680 H 13500 but not enough for a lock.

Thanks for checking buddy ..
Looks like we both 'see' 11680H ...confirmed by the SR 13500...but not the other transponder 11668H ..the closest being 11664 which is constant here at SR1000 ..
I shared and one different..
;)

Had these four last month, slightly different TP's to yours though VS. I'll check it out again later.

11465H SR 17866 FEC 2/5 DVB-S2 QPSK
11632H SR 17866 FEC 3/4 DVB-S2 32APSK
11655H SR 1355 FEC 3/4 DVB-S2 8PSK
11678H SR 13500 FEC 3/5 DVB-S2 8PSK

Probably the same 4 Llew ..
The discrepancy being roughly the same on all transponders..
Variations in tuner front end I'd guess..

Hello,

Be safe. :)

Scan with 1.2m yesterday at 18.00hrs shows:-

Thanks Feedsat_DXer........inspired me to try a scan tonight at 20.00hrs and furthest I have got West with the 1.8m at ground level , so pleased with this....interesting to see the FEC differences. respect-048.gif

Could do with a scan being at Martins roof level. :D:D

Best wishes to you all.

I will have to sort the dish flop problem out and have a look, pity there's not much past this position, looking at dishpointer I can get a bit further . the 1.8 wont have a problem with dish flop so I will see what I can find past here one day :).

Yesterday at 14.30hrs......almost the same (7 TP this time) but still nice to be at this point west .......perhaps one day video TP!! ;)

Today at 16.05hrs.

Never seen dual polarity on the same frequency used on this sat before, previously always horizontal only and dramatic difference in dB values!
Not knowledgeable enough to understand how the 0.0dB read-out occurs.........perhaps you can advise, thanks.

Anway, sad maybe but I just like to see the dish sat at 63.0ºW in my somewhat cramped enviroment....wouldn't change it though!

...........covered in other threads but there is def something about PF dishes. :D:D

Well done
@lovelyperson

There nothing in Vertical, this is just a cross polar to set, especially at the extremes.

Yes nice catch J :), I am off work for the next few days I will have a go at this one :) one dish is flopping and the others not tracking as it should :-doh

Thanks Martin....must sat I enjoy the 1.8m's at ground level.....'tweak/fine tune' for me is the enjoyable part.

Hope U and family are well...be safe. respect-048.gif

Yes John, it does make things easier and gives more motivation to have a play:), yes all is well here thank you :), hope all is as well as can be for you and J pal:).
Cheers M, appreciated.....Je....worse every month but truthfully happy.
Satisfaction at 'tweak/fine tune' at ground level is superb........difficult to explain but my 'smaller' 1.2 motorized system is ok but never achieve the overall 'tingle' factor of the manual side of things.

You and other peeps here who can manufacture things with your own hands/tools etc are the winners.....so many threads here.....great read, inspiration to us all.

Off topic but what the hel*.....Real Madrid v PSG 1-0 rm.gif
